V-T2 Livewell & Baitwell Installation

V-T2 Livewell & Baitwell Ventilators
V-T2's installed.

To install the V-T2's, you will need a hand drill, drill bit and a 3 inch Bi-metal hole saw. The Bi-metal hole saw will easily cut through both fiberglass, composite and aluminum. It is recommended to cut the holes for the V-T2's in the middle of each livewell or baitwell lid directly over the water in the livewell. If you have a single large lid over your livewell, install both ventilators in the single lid and evenly space them out. Again placing the V-T2's directly over the water in your livewell. Be careful to allow needed clearance, so that the throat of the V-T2's will clear the livewell/baitwell frame or any lid lift or lock. It is recommended to make the first few cuts or revolutions with the Bi-metal hole in reverse, and then place drill in forward to cut through the lids. This will keep carpet from threading out, and make a nice clean cut. Place the V-T2's in the holes with the louvers facing bow and stern (front to back). On saltwater boats that have a high bridge, it is recommended to position the V-T2's with louvers facing starboard to port, therefore utilizing cross winds. Then drill holes and attach the V-T2's with the provided #6 size marine fasteners.
